COMPLETE SHUTDOWN ANNOUNCED FOR 48 Hrs IN BHUBANESWAR, BHADRAK.

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary of Odisha Asit Kumar Tripathy on Friday announced a complete shutdown in Bhubaneswar City limits and Bhadrak Municipal restriction for 48 hours.

The steps are being taken to prevent community transmission of COVID-19.

As per reports, the Bhubaneswar City limits and Bhadrak Municipal restriction between 8 pm tonight till 8 pm on Sunday (5th April).

Meanwhile, all passes issued will also remain suspended during these 48 hours. Concerns have been raised as the person did not travel abroad or any other state.  All exceptions allowed in MHA notification will also stand withdrawn by SDMA.

Special passes will be provided for emergency service holders.

Similarly, all shops, vegetable markets, grocery outlets, fish & meat stores will remain closed.

Besides, which medicine stores will remain open during this period will be decided by the local authorities. Limited medical stores as decided by the administration will get permission to remain open while patients wanting to visit hospitals will be allowed only in ambulances.

The number of ambulances will be increased and private hospitals asked to keep their ambulances ready.

Locals will face stringent actions if they flout the norms. As per reports, the people found to have violated the norms and venturing outside will be picked up by cops and put in a 14-day quarantine. Besides, they will also attract fines and will be booked.
