KALAHANDI POLICE ARRESTED THE LIQUOR MAFIAS

KALAHANDI:In brazen violation of covid-19 regulations and violating the quarantine rule, foreign Liquor was found selling in the Hotel Hind plaza on the Kesinga Road NH-26 under Bhawanipatna Municipality and Town PS police limit. A case is registered as Town PS case no.116 u/s. 269,270,271,188,34 IPC r.w.sec 54 of disaster management Act. & 52(a), 69 of Odisha Excise Act 2008 Act. On the direction of S.P Kalahandi the Town Ps IIC Satya Nanda taken up the investigation and conducted raid at the hotel Hind Plaza on 30.03.2020 and seized 12 numbers of Aristocrat foreign liquor whisky amounting to 12 liter. Police arrested the Hotel owner Vikram jit Singh, Manager Gudu Kumar Yadav S/o- Rajendra yadav and waiter Anil Kumar Yadav s/o- Gouri Yadav belongs to state of Bihar. and investigation is going on as stated by S P Batula Gangadhar.
Junagarh Police seized 15 nos of Mc-Dowel and 15 nos of Royal Stag bottles amounting to 5.4 liters of Foreign liquor from the accused person Kamal Sunani (56) s/o- Upendra Sunani of junagarh Project Pada while illegal selling of liquor to general public was going on violating the lock down period of Covid-19 regulations and violating the quarantine rule. OIC Uttam Kumar Sahu registered the Junagarh PS case no.106 u/s 269,270,188 IPC & 52(a) of Odisha Excise Act and investigating the matter.
That, Junagarh Police seized the huge numbers of foreign liquors bottles like 22 Hunter beer, 3 big size beer, 1 Budweiser beer, 29 Royal Stag, 2 RS green, 27 Mc-Dowel, 2 cane beer and 250 OS liquor pouch amounting to 78.34 liters of liquor from the illegal seller Dibya Nag ( 52) of Baldiamal village on NH 26 under Junagarh Police limit while illegal selling of liquor to general public was going on violating the lock down period of Covid-19 regulations and violating the quarantine rule. OIC Uttam Kumar Sahu registered the Junagarh PS case no.107 u/s 269,270,188 IPC & 52(a) of Odisha Excise Act and investigating the matter.
Bhawanipatna Sadar Police seized 6 liters of liquor from Narendra Nag (28) and 7 liters from Kashi Karuan ( 40) of Balbaspur village under Sadar Police limit while illegal selling of liquor to general public was going on violating the lock down period of Covid-19 regulations and violating the quarantine rule. IIC Sadar PS registered the Sadar PS case no.110 u/s 269,270,188 IPC & 52(a) of Odisha Excise Act and Sadar PS case no.109 u/s 269,270,188 IPC & 52(a) of Odisha Excise Act respectively and took up the investigation.
During the lockdown people are trying to earn more money through this type of illegal selling of liquor and Police has deep eye over it says Kalahandi SP, Batula Gangadhar.
Further SP Kalahandi appealed to the people of Kalahandi distirict that People should stay at their home and should follow the Government rule of lock down period of Covid-19 . for the larger interest of mass people.
