Berhampur Lost a Senior Journalist Jagan Mohan Mohapatra

Berhampur:Senior journalist Jagan Mohan Mohapatra passed away in Berhempur on Thursday. He succumbed to a cardiac arrest at the Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati (MKCG) Medical College and Hospital at around 10 am. He was 57.
As per reports, Mohapatra was admitted to MKCG hospital after he complained of chest pain. However, he passed away while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Mohapatra was in journalism profession for the past three decades. He was known for his rich contribution to the Media field.
Apart from working in various media organisations, he was a guest faculty of journalism and mass communication at Berhampur University for some time and active member of Team Clean City. He was south Odisha head of “Sakala”(Odia Daily).
He was always cheerful as a man. His untimely demise has deeply saddened the media fraternity in the State.Berhampur BMC,Mayor,Ms.Sanghamitra Dalai, MLA,Berhampur cum Ganjam District Planning Board Chairman,Bikram Panda, many eminent senior citizens, Members of Berhampur Press club and Prominent personalities from all walks of life paid their last respects to Mohapatra at his residence today.
