GENERAL MANAGER, ECoR INSPECTED KORAPUT-RAYAGADA DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS.

Koraput:General Manager, East Coast Railway Shri Manoj Sharma inspected Koraput-Rayagada line today on dated 07.04.2023.

 He inspected railway establishments, railway stations, ongoing developmental works in the section etc. He conducted window trailing inspection of the section to check track, curves, bridges, points & crossing etc. Divisional Railway Manager Shri Anup Satpathy, Principal Heads from various departments and Branch officers of Waltair accompanied GM, ECoR during his inspection.

General Manager inspected the ongoing works of Koraput-Rayagada section. GM Shri Manoj Sharma inspected amenities at the Koraput railway station and various developmental activities under progress at the station. He inspected the station building at the Damanjodi station and took stock of works to be carried under Amrit Bharat Scheme. Later GM Shri Manoj Sharma continued inspection at Lakshmipur Road station. He inspected the railway colony and health unit at the Lakshmipur Road railway station and enquired about the facilities. 

Further Shri Manoj Sharma inspected Rayagada station. He thoroughly inspected the new station building, crew lobby, newly constructed Foot Over Bridge and the ongoing platform & track works. During his inspection he interacted with various representatives Of Media Journalists and said that various developmental activities have been carried out in this region as per the guidelines issued by the Railway Board and stations like Rayagada, Damanjodi and Koraput stations will be developed under Amrit Bharat Station schemes recently been launched for development of Railway stations on Indian Railways.

Presently, the scheme envisages to take-up 1275 stations for up gradation/modernisation over Indian Railway. 2700 crore rupees have been allocated for this purpose for various railway zones during the current fiscal 2023.
