Orphan Girl Chita” Lost Her Parents ;- Deserted from Education (!)

Odishabarta

Mayurbhanj/Gajapati:Odisha State Government declared free and compulsory education but on nature still such benefits hanging to reach at unreach(!).

One such case mounted at Mayurbhanj district at Ambadiha Colony of Badasingaria panchayat under Udala block.

One girl named “Chita” lost her parents. Her parents Sangram Ho & Jingi died 5 years ago by leaving their daughter Chita. The unfortunate girl with utmost difficulties could complete upto 5th std from Colony primary school.

She tried to join at any government residential school but deprived off to get a seat. Neither higher authorities taken steps on her need to continue higher education nor any support outside behind for that girl. She has been stranded to get back to continue her education.

Though government is pumping more on free & compulsory education her case lagged behind.

Volatility of her traumatic case squeezed by education department authority to be empathetic on her.

Now the case knocked at DEO Mayurbhanj district who better late than surprisingly never taken cognizance of case for her continuity on studies (?).

Such destitute still on laments where in Odisha we see on backward districts including KBK, less than 50℅ illiteracy among women on 2011 census. So need of bringing frontline for girls education is vital for grassroots empowerment. As information received DEO Mayurbhanj taken this case seriously and send a team for bringing up Chita to continue her studies.

Basis on the invitation of Project Administrator,ITDA, Udala to discuss on this issue,

STARR Staff has met with him today and Project Administrator has immediately depute to ADWO to the house of this girl for enquiry the matter.

He assured, anyhow this girl will be admitted in the nearby Tribal residential school. Indeed a great achievement far from such place.
