Two Days’ AGM & Elections of UTKAL Chemists and Druggists Assn.Concluded

Berhampur:The two day AGM and Elections of the UTKAL Chemists and Druggists Association (UCDA) concluded today evening at the Biju Patnaik Conference Hall of the Berhampur University.
The two day event is a Tri Annual event of the UCDA which represents 20000 Chemists and Druggists of Odisha .Affilate of the All India Organisation of Chemists Organisation (AIOCD) , has its elections once in three years .Yesterday on the 29th , the EC Meeting of the UCDA was organised at the Green Courtyard Convention Hall .As per the rules and guidelines , the Old EC of the association sat for the last time and the Elections were declared by the three member election committee .In the EC meeting the Annual Report of the General Secretary , the Accounts of the three year and the President’s report were passed .P Satyanarayana.
President chaired the meeting and present on the dais were General Secretary Prasant Mohapatra , Treasurer Ajay Goenka and the Office Bearers of the organisation.
Chief Election Commissioner Nirmal Kumar Mishra declared the procedures of the Election in which 252 members will cast their votes to select a President and General Secretary .The elections started at 3.00 pm after lunch and concluded at around 7.00 pm .The Election Committee declared the results and intimated that P Satyanarayana has been elected as President and Prasanta Mohapatra as General Secretary for the term 2022-25 .
The Open Session of the 51 st AGM of the UCDA started at around 11.30 am at the Biju Patnaik Conference Hall of BU .Chief Guest of the occassion was J S Shindhe , President AIOCD .Other guests were the dignitaries from AIOCD namely Rajiv Singhal , GS ,AIOCD , Sandeep Nangia ,Org. Secy .,AIOCD , K K Selvan , Treasurer , P K Singh , Shankar Ray Choudhry , V Jaguste , Pradeep Chaurasia , Sajjal Gangadesh , Arvind Gupta and V Jaganath Rao .The highlight of the event was the one hour deliberations by President of AIOCD JS Sindhe.
In his usual and aggressive way Shri Shindhe spoke on a big range of issues , right from local issues of Chemists and the challenges from Online trade .Shri Shindhe said that it is important to manage Unity of AIOCD and UCDA in the face of various issues of the trade coming up in future.
The newly elected office bearers of UCDA P Satyanarayan and Prasanta Mohapatra also spoke.
All the guests were felicitated and honoured by the. UCDA .The host association GPCDA , Ganjam and Phulbani Chemists and Druggists Association had made beautiful arrangements for the Mega event , which is being hosted at Berhampur after more than 20 years .
