NTPC TALCHER KANIHA OBSERVES NATIONAL SAFETY DAY

Talcher:National Safety Day was observed by the Safety Department at NTPC Talcher Kaniha on March 4, 2020. On this occasion, safety pledge was administered to the gathering by DIG, CISF, Smt Santhi G. Jaidev, CGM NTPC Talcher Kaniha, Shri Sudip Nag and GM(FM) Shri K.K Das in English, Hindi, and Odia respectively. DIG, CISF Smt Santhi G. Jaidev in her address spoke about the importance of safety in industry and awareness by which man-made negligence can be avoided.

The ceremony was attended by Shri N.S Rao, GM (O&M), Shri P. Sivaramakrishna, GM (Operations), Shri Navin Bagai, GM (C&M), Department heads, CISF, employees, contract workers and members of the Unions and Association.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Sudip Nag, CGM highlighted the latest technological equipments like ox suit for electrical isolation, advance life support ambulance etc. provided by NTPC to enhance the culture of safety. “Self-awareness and individual consciousness are of prime importance for maintaining safety at all premises,” he added. Shri Nag further encouraged everyone to strive for a 100% Accident-free workplace.

In addition, various awards for Best Safety Conscious, Best Fire Personnel, and Best Safety officers were also awarded to Contract workers, Fire department workers, and employees.
