Koraput:  Headache for Pattangi Zone-1 in the three-tier panchayat elections is on the rise.  Mamata Jani, an all-party candidate for Zone-1, is vying for the Tika Gemel and Sabina Budia as independent candidates.  Tomorrow is the last day to withdraw nominations for selection, not election in Kotia by shouting in front of the ground.  On the second day, the all-party leader is in talks, and at night, the exercise is on the way.

In Kotia, the Sarpanch, the Wad members, the Samiti members and the Zilla Parishad were unanimously elected.  However, more than seven sarpanches, as well as multiple candidates for the district council, failed to reach a unanimous vote.  The leaders of the three political parties are currently in power.  As an independent candidate, Tikai Gamel is gearing up for the district council.  Another Sabina Budia has not withdrawn her candidacy, which is likely to be contested.  However, in the case of democracy, all the panchayats in Zone-1 have problems, even with the support of the Kandha, Dora and Kamar communities, so Tikai is known as the daughter, sister and daughter-in-law of the region.  Tikai is adamant that he will run in the by-elections.

Elections have been held in Kotia since the country’s independence. Why do all-party leaders in Odisha want a healthy democracy and instead of elections?  In May last year, Andhra Pradesh entered the Andhra Pradesh constituency by filling the Panchayat elections.  Bhagwan Golri, a young tribal man from the region, opined that the Election Commission should look into the matter of holding three-tier elections without killing democracy.

In Koraput, the all-party leader was briefed on the issue.  Later, the Kotia panchayat also held talks with the Sarpanch candidate.  On the second day, all-party leaders are in talks to elect a new leader.  Still, key leaders of the BJD, BJP and Congress parties have gone to the polls and are trying their best.  The issue’s end has the recaptured Doomsday in the control of the Zilla Parishad and the Sarpanch.

Pattangi Zone-1 Zilla Parishad with 4 panchayats.  Kotia is the largest panchayat in the country.  More than seven have filed nomination papers for the Sarpanch candidate of Kotia Panchayat alone, while three for the Zilla Parishad, the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers tomorrow.  All-party leaders in case of tax or death.  Independent candidates insist on running for office.
