Bhubaneswar:During corona time five state elections was conducted where today was the counting day and a huge enthusiasm was there to know the election result for two major states, one is west Bengal and the next one is Tamilnadu.

The five states who had gone for election were West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry.

The most highly sought result was west Bengal where BJP had given everything and worked very hard to defeat Mamata Didi. This tussle was started since last few years and it reached the pick in the last Lok Sabha election where BJP managed to get very good seats. This time they took Assembly election very seriously and many star campaigners were deployed and a thorough strategy was thrown into it. Number of violence was seen in W.Bengal where many workers from both the parties had lost, majorly from the BJP party. It became the prestige issue for BJP and Subhendu Adhikari who had left TMC to join BJP and the main war field was set focus for Nandigram the home constituency of Subhendu Adhikari.

Mamata took it seriously and decided to stand in Nandigram and she took a rented flat to campaign and to oversee the Election Day to day affairs. She worked hard and amid the campaign she broke her leg(?). Despite all odd she continued her election campaign and stood strong and threw a great challenge.

Counting day turned out to be a perfect culmination of the high-voltage electoral battle fought by the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the ruling party registered a comfortable win in the politically crucial state.

The counting of votes began at 8 am, and after initial leads indicating a neck-and-neck fight, the TMC raced ahead and pushed past the halfway mark by evening, leaving its challenger far behind.

At the end of the day, the TMC had 197 wins in the 294-seat assembly and was ahead in 17 seats, and the BJP had won 67 seats and was ahead in 9. In the keenly-watched Nandigram seat, aide-turned-rival Suvendu Adhikari defeated Mamata by 1,956 votes following several flip-flops over the results.

The TMC has demanded recounting in the Nandigram constituency from which Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had stood, alleging a number of illegalities in the vote-counting process.

ccording to unofficial sources, Banerjee lost the Nandigram assembly elections to BJP candidate and her former lieutenant Suvendu Adhikari by around 1,700 votes. The TMC has written to the CEO requesting an immediate recounting of votes, party sources said, alleging “tampering and mismanagement of numbers from the EVM and said that the counting process was stalled from time to time and was not reported by the poll panel. The party in its letter to the CEO also alleged that valid votes in favour of Banerjee were rejected while invalid votes for the BJP were counted.

In Tamilnadu DMK came to power after long years and the dream came true for Mr.M K Stalin who had been struggling hard to win election but this could not have possible because of late.Jayalalitha and after her demise the emotional wave saved the AIADMK and they completed the tenure. But this election pushed the ruling party to second position with 80 seats and DMK wonderfully done well with 150 seats. It is a joyous moment in Tamilnadu to put Dravidian party in power. Mr.M K Stalin is going to be the CM of Tamilnadu for the first time and thanked the people for their splendid supports they extended by making win the Alliance candidates. DMK has made alliance this time with Congess. Kamal Haasan’s party has contested election for the first time under the new political party Makkal Needhi Maiam. Narendra Modi has congratulated M K Stalin for the victory and wishes him all success.

In Kerala the ruling party LDF won the election with 90 seats under the leadership of standing CM, Pinarayi Bijayan followed by UDF with 43,NDA-3 seats and others-14. LDF is all set to come to power again. BJP has given all efforts to enter in Kerala politics but not that success it received.

In Assam NDA has won with 79 seats where UPA is with 46 seats and others-1.NDA is all set form Govt. for the consecutive times which will be an achievement to do so after Congress. This time NDA was fighting to retain its position where in other five states NDA was not in power.

In Puducherry NDA has won 15 seats and UPA stands at 10 seats where others positioned with 5 seats. Right now President Rule is there in Puducherry and the NDA is all likely to form the Govt.
