Mafia Cat on Police Net; Fake Sauce Manufacturing Unit Busted In Berhampur

Berhampur:Acting on a tipoff Berhampur police conducted a raid on Food adulteration unit under Bada Bazar police limit.
According to confirm source the Inspector, Bada Bazar Mr.Prashant Bhupati with his team has detected one illegally run of Tomato, Chilli and Soya sauce production unit at 1st lane of Ganapati Nagar,Berhampur.
Basis on the intelligence input from SP, Berhampur,Mr Pinak Mishra ,the team accidentally raided and found illegally Manufacturing of Substandard quality of Sauce and using the brand name of “FAMILY” and selling to buyers openly.
Notably, police found that the unit which was run by Smt.Rina Panda (!).
Police have seized Big Stove, Wet Mixture grinder, Plastic drums, Logo of the company,2320 bottles, cartoons with branding of Tomato, Chilli Soya Sauce and plant & machineries.
In connection a case has been registered u/s.420 IPC,r/w Sec 51/52/53/56/57/59/63 of Food safety and standards act 2006,103/104 of Trade Marks act 1999. The probe is ON said, Prabhat Routray, ASP, Berhampur.
Similarly on Saturday evening hours Bada Bazaar police conducted a raid against Food adulteration unit and duplicate Gutkha industry owned by E.Rajeswar Patro (48) at 1st Gate and sealed the manufacturing unit and the Godown said,B.Pati,SDPO,(City).
During the search police have seized huge stock of Gutkha (Shivaji Make) 20 bags, Raw materials like Aniseed,Dhania,Tobacco leaves,10 packing and stitching machine, Printed polyethene with their duplicate master Logo, Printed polythene rolls of different makes.
The accused E.Rajeswar Patro is detained by Bada Bazar police for further interrogation. In this context, police registered a case as deemed fit as per the law.
This may be underline last couple of days Berhampur Police have started marathon raid as ‘the city known as the Hub of Duplicate products especially Tobacco related products and food products”.
