Pinak Mishra,SP,Berhampr Urges People to Obey Traffic Rules

BERHAMPUR:The 32nd National Road Safety Week commenced and  is set to be observed till 24th of this month. On occasion of this, several programs were conducted  and ‘Sadak Suraksha Rath’ (awareness vehicles) were flagged off by Mr.Pinak Mishra,SP,Berhampur.

Superitendent of Police,Berhampur,Pinak Mishra on Tuesday urged people of City  to obey traffic rules and exercise utmost care and caution on the roads.Following traffic rules will not only Save your life but also others.

“On the occasion of 32ndl Road Safety Week, “I solicit the cooperation of all road users and appeal them to obey traffic rules in true spirit. Let us protect our precious lives by following road safety rules,” the SP, said.

Further he said rash and negligent driving leads to heavy casualties in road accidents.“In order to reduce the magnitude of road accidents, a number of steps have been taken up by Berhampur Police.

Public awareness on road safety thus plays a very significant role in making all these efforts effective,” Mishra added.

RTO, BIkash Choudhury said we should always abide one Mantra “Don’t ignore traffic rules, don’t over speed, don’t drink and drive, don’t use mobile phones.

RTO,Ganjam,Bikash Choudhury,SDPO,Traffic Bimala Kanta Nayak,IIC BN Pur,Sarada Prasanna Dash ,law and Order Sunil Kumar Behera and others were present.

As part of observance of the week, an “awareness Ratha”(Vehicle)will visit different traffic junctions in Berhampur to sensitise people on the issue.Mass bike rally by all two wheeler dealers of town and Street plays also staged “JAMA HATARE JIBANA” in Berhampur city in cooediantion of BN Pur Police staff.
