4th Bn CRPF Rayagada organized a blood donation camp

Rayagada, June 14: On eve of World’s Blood donors day on last Sunday, 4th Bn CRPF Rayagada organized a blood donation camp within its campus. Firoj Kujur, Commandant 4th Bn CRPF inaugurated the event with donating blood himself & thus setting a befitting inspiration to his officers and men of Unit. Commandant inspired the family members of the CRPF men for donating blood to save lives of common people for whom the CRPF unit is continuously protecting from naxal menaces since 2007. Rayagada Red Cross Cell is already facing shortage of Blood. So, Kujur is always at the forefront to protect the men as well as the civilians who are in need of blood at the hospital. Even he directs his officers and men for this noble cause at any emergency of district Hospital Rayagada.

On this occasion total 25 blood units were collected. At the end of the programme, Kujur distributed refreshments and certificates to the blood donors in presence of Manjula Toppo, wife of Kujur, Prabhakar Upadhyay, Second-in-Command(Adm), Sanjay Kumar Rout, Second-in-Command (Ops) and Dr. M. Gouthami, Medical Officer with Dr. Goutam Pattanaik of Red Cross Society. Then a pledge for blood donation was taken by all members under the guidance of Kujur.
