TALCHER :A big scam has come to light in the recruitment of staff nurses at the Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Government Hospital (PMPGH) in Talcher. It has been found that 24 staff nurses are working with fake certificates.

According to the information received, Pragyan Paramita Burgi from Angul is currently working as a staff nurse at PMPGH. For the job, she has submitted a certificate of completing the GNM course from the Seva School of Nursing in Turang, Angul.

According to the certificate, she enrolled in the GNM course at the Seva School of Nursing on December 10, 2021. The appointment was made by an outsourcing company in Jharkhand. She completed his studies on March 20, 2025.

However, Sunil Kumar Das, the college chairman, clarified that no one with such a name has studied at the Seva School of Nursing. Mr. Das said, not only Pragyan, but also 24 persons like Khagapati Sahu, Jasmilima Bhoi, Janani Gadanayak, Mira Mahalik, Chitrarekha Sahu, Sujata Naik, Tulsi Beer, Bidyasini Mahalik, Elina Mohanty, Mani Naik, Pipili Pradhan, Sasmita Rani Lenka, Sonalisa Behera, Shibani Dehuri, Pranati Sethi, Purnima Naik, Pragyan Paramita Naik, Buddhasmita Naik, Satya Pui Pradhan, Laxmipriya Dwibedi, Banita Majhi, Zeenat Barla, who are not studied with Seva School of Nursing, are now working as staff nurses in PMPGH

after submitting fake certificates in the name of this college. It is worth mentioning that an outsourcing agency called Comando Industrial Security Force of Jharkhand through MCL has recruited the staffers. The PMGHC superintendent ordered verification of the certificates of all the staffers. In the last 15 days, the list of 273 staffers and their registration certificates were sent to the educational institutions where they studied through e-mail for verification.

While certificates of 90 were sent to the Seva School of Nursing, the head of institution said that the certificates of 24 of them were fake. In this regard, Angul District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Madan Mohan Pradhan said that the human resources management department of PMPGH is still with MCL. All the staffers working here have been appointed by MCL through an outsourcing agency.

The health department has no role and if any such complaint is received, the district administration will be informed for action.
