Youth Kidnap on Demand of 12 Lac in Berhampur (!).

Berhampur: Six has been arrested by Berhampur Police in connection into a Kidnapping on demand of Cash in Berhampur.
According to a senior Police Officer that, one Smt. Dharitri Samal d/o Bijaya Chandra Samal of Govindabihar 7th line PS. Nimakhandi reported that her son Sambhaba Bisoyi (18+) was missing since 2.8.2023. She was searching for him. On 5.8.2023 she received telephonic threat call from one Deepak Kumar Swain that, her son was with him and demanded Rs. 12 lakhs cash or else her son would be killed.
During investigation, the complainant and others were examined and the mobile phone was tracked and a special team was formed to rescue the victim and to apprehend the accused Persons.
Further investigation came to front that it came to light that, the victim boy Sambhaba Bisoyi has discontinued his studies at Khalikote +2 Commerce since 2 years and engaged himself in online trading and has developed relation with others in the said business and came in contact with the accuser Deepak Kumar Swain.
During such business the victim had taken money from Deepak Kumar Swain and others which he failed to repay. Deepak Kumar Swain has an office at Langipalli namely: SAATHI INFRA PVT Ltd. On 2.8.2023, the accd Deepak Kumar Swain called the victim boy to his office and with help of other accused. Persons he forcibly took him to a crusher factory near Polasara and confined him there since 2.8.2023.,
At the crusher factory, the accused Persons tortured the victim both mentally and physically and threatened to kill him if he would not pay their dues & forcibly took an undertaking to pay Rs.14 lakhs – to Deepak Kumar Swain and cash of Rs.8 lakhs to one Nirmana Bhargabha. Deepak Kumar Swain telephoned to victim’s mother to pay the cash else her son would be killed.
Police team learnt that the victim was being taken towards Chatrapur area in a Mahendra Thar vehicle on 6.8.2023 monring and rescued the victim boy and detained the accused Persons at Regidi Chak. The Mahendra Thar vehicle used by the accused Persons has been seized including the mobile phones.
However Police team managed to arrest all six accused persons they were identified as;1. Deepak Kumar Swain (27 yrs), S/o: Sarathi Swain of Nadighosh Appartment, 4th floor, Room-413, A/P: Lanjipalli Main Road, near SBI, PS: B N Pur,2. Nimmana Bharghab @ Ram (34 yrs), S/o: N H rao of vill Jagannath Vihar 1st lane, plot no. 41, Housing Board colony, PS; Gosaninuagaon. 3. Suryansu Kar (22 yrs), S/o: Sushanta Kumar Kar of vill Ramkrushna Nagar 2nd lane, Hatibandha Sahi, PS: B N Pur.4. Biswash Bisoyi (21 yrs), S/o: Rajib Bisoyi of Lanjipalli Ramkrushna Nagar 1st lane, PS: B N Pur.5. Radha Madhab Panigrahi (21 yrs), S/o: Rudrakanta Panigrahi of vill Bapuji Nagar 5th lane, PS: Nimakhandi and Bansidhar Nahak (22 yrs), S/o: Bipra Charan Nahak of vill Laxmipur, PS: Hinjili.
A case has been registered at Nimakhandi P.S Case No-255 U/S: 365/386 IPC.turned to section 365/343/386/34 IPC.Investigation of the case is in progress to find out involvement of others.
