Youth arrested for opening Instagram ID using minor girl’s photo
Berhampur : The Berhampur Cyber Police have arrested a youth and produced him in court on the charge of opening an Instagram ID using a minor girl’s photo and sharing her photo with the minor’s mobile number and offensive messages. He is Shivananda Rawal (24) of Durbandh village under Belgaum police station. The police have seized a mobile phone from the accused. It is worth noting that a 14-year-old girl had complained that someone had opened a fake Instagram ID in her name and shared her photo with her mobile number and offensive messages. She was being harassed by many people. During the investigation, it was found that a youth named Shivananda Rawal, the minor’s neighbor, had done this. After the complaint was filed at the cyber police station, the police arrested Shivananda and produced him in court, informed the police officer Shankar Panda.
