Young India Club in Rayagada celebrated Nanda Utsav
Rayagada, (Badal Tah): Club The Young India celebrated Nanda Utsav for 19th year with great pomp and ceremony at the local Lions Club. Rayagada Sub-Collector Ramesh Jena graced the occasion as chief guest, who encouraged the children participating in the competition. He emphasized on total surrender of a devotee in God Krishna. The guest of honor and keynote speaker was the President of Zilla Sambadika Sangh and senior journalist Dr. Badal Kumar Tah. He advised parents to prepare their children as little Krishnas and kill Corruption as Kansa & save the next generation. They must invest judiciously in the young children as 80% of the brain of the child develop within 6-7 years. The children must be multilingual with their own mother tongue as foundation.
This club has been organizing such programs for last 19 years. Children from about 20 educational institutions participated in this, while more than 40 students dressed in Lord Krishna attire took part in dancing competition. They were also judged on their knowledge on Lord Krishna.
In this program, the President of Club The Young India, Surendra Sahu, Vice President Venket Ramana and Secretary Deepak Kumar Prusty, Director of Events Jami Gauri Prasad were present on the dias alongwith with Chief Guest and Guest of Honour.
The judges named Prabhakar Mishra and Kali Rath selected the winners on the basis of children’s performance and general knowledge on Krishna. Shrikriti Acharya stood first in the competition, second was Debashish Baxipatra and third was Mokshita Behera. Consolation prizes were given to 10 contestants. This prizes were given by Guest of Honour Bidulata Huika, State Convenor of Odisha Adivasi Manch. On this occasion, Jt-secretaries of the club, Rakesh Hamadeb, A Chandrasekhar Rao, Shivram Mishra, Apa Rao facilitated several sub-events. Deepak Prusty proposed vote of thanks.
