Workshop on Eradication of Child Marriage
Paralakhemundi , (Odishabarta) : On behalf of CCD, a leading organization in collaboration with Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation a workshop on abolition of child marriage organized where Sarpanchs of various panchayata attended.
Coordinator of the organization Bijay Pradhan introduced regarding core issues on child marriage which destroy health of breeding & grown up children.Further rehabilitation also he shared.He sought bon role of Sarpanchs which they can discuss on their monthly review meeting regarding issues on child marriage,child labour & sexual harassment of grown up children.
On pallisabha & gramsabha too they can discuss on children issues.A committee to be formed consisted of AWWs,Ward members, ASHAs & volunteers of NGOs.’A day for child’ program to be conducted that will enable mothers to know their roles to guide their children. Messages on wall to sensitize more he quipped.An oath taken by the Sarpanchs to abolish completely child marriage. Staff of CCD coordinated.
