WOMEN WON 11 SEATS IN KORAPUT

Koraput:In 14 constituencies in Koraput district, women won 11 seats in the by-elections, while only Narayanpatna, Boipariguda and Lamtaput panchayat committee chairpersons were elected. Namita Majhi has been re-elected as the chairman of the Koraput Panchayat Samiti for the third time and has become a popular figure in the district. As a party, the BJD has won 12 seats in the district, while the Congress candidate Namita Majhi and Rajeswari Paraja has won the Koraput and Kundura Panchayat Samiti elections.
