Woman Raped;Aska Police Arrested Viral Video Blackmailer

GANJAM,(Aska): Aska Police on Thursday arrested a man  for allegedly raping a 25-year-old woman multiple times for months by threatening to make her obscene photographs and videos viral.

The arrest was made on the basis of a written complaint filed by the woman against one Kailash Chandra Sahu (32) under Aska police station on Wednesday.

According to IIC, Aska, Mr.Prashant Kumar Sahu, the survivor could not clear the matriculation exam in 2011, and stayed at home for five years after that. As several marriage proposals were getting rejected because of her poor educational background, she again appeared for the matric exam in 2016. One of her friends then told her to take the help of her brother stating that he would facilitate her joining in a Plus-II College. The victim then informed this to her father and Brother and took admission in Plus-II with the help of Kailash, who stays at Aska Road area under Bada Bazar police limits in Berhampur.

“Kailash one day telephoned the woman, called her and took her to a hotel in Berhampur where he gave her lassi, laced with sedatives. The woman was in a sub-conscious state, and Kailash took advantage of the situation, initiated a physical relation with her without her consent. He also captured her nude photographs and recorded nude videos in his mobile phone,” the woman mentioned.

Again in August 2020, the accused person forced her into physical relationship against her will at a mushroom firm by threatening to make her nude photographs and videos viral which continue  for the last two months, Kailash had been threatening her father to make these intimate videos viral. The accused even sent these nude videos and photographs to her aunt’s mobile. Not only this, he has even warned them stating that he would throw acid on her face and kill her father and brother if she reported the matter to the police.

After all harassment, the woman finally lodged a complaint at Aska Police Station on Wednesday at 11.45 AM seeking necessary legal action against the accused.

Both the survivor and the accused underwent medical examination at the Aska sub-divisional hospital. Police also got her statement recorded before the magistrate under section 164 of the CrPC. Sahu’s mobile phones was also seized by police he added.

Finally the accused has been booked under IPC Sections 294/292(2)(a) /354(C) /376(2)(n)(J)/506 /509 and 67(A) /66(E)67 of the IT Act, and forwarded to the Court.
