WOMAN IN QUARANTINE CENTRE DELIVERS BABY IN GANJAM

Ganjam,(Beguniapada):A 28-year-old woman who returned from Surat reportedly delivered a baby boy at an institutional quarantine in Ganjam district on Tuesday.
As per the information, the woman, Santoshini Pradhan along with husband were lodged in the institutional quarantine centre set up at a High School at Mardhakote in Beguniapada block.
Santoshini complained of labour pain on Tuesday afternoon, however, ASHA and Anganawadi workers who were on duty in the facility helped in the delivery before doctors and paramedical staff reached the quarantine centre.
Following this, the woman along with her baby were shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital with the help of administration.
