We The”Team Clean City;Rajguru

Discussion with Saktidhar Rajguru a Media Person cum Social Worker with Manoj Kanta Dash,Editor in Chief of Odishabarta.I am proud for the initiation you have undertaken a new assignment and formed a group with the names and style as”Team Clean City” (TCC). 

OB: Please tell us all about you to our valued visitors (?) It would be wise if you can extend your Profile (?). 

Rajguru: I myself Saktidhar Rajguru,S/O.Lalit Mohan Rajguru and Mother Rajaniprabha Rajguru,Spouce,Mrs.Tushar Kumari Mishra, Blessed with two daughter Lori and Lara,Nativity Paralakhemundi,Odisha,India,Educational qualification B.A,LLM and PG JMC. 

OB: But didn’t mention about your Profession (?). 

Rajguru: Basically I was a Media person. from the year 1996 I worked  with Odia daily “PRAJATANTRA” than “Anupam Bharat”,Ganjam TV (Local cable TV Net Work).from the year 2000 I joined with “SAMBAD” leading Odia News Paper till 2003 subsequently I switchover to Electronics Media “ETV” worked  at Hyderabad,Rourkella as Bureau Chief 2003 -07 ,2007 to 2010 posted at Bhubaneswar as Crime Correspondent. In the year 2019 I again switched over to News-18 as Bureau Chief. 

OB: Excellent Scribe. 

OB: Dear we came to know that you have taken an initiation for Social activity with something new in Globe and formed a group with the names and style as team Clean City (TCC) (?). 

Rajguru: You are absolutely correct. 

OB: How it came to your mind (?). 

Rajguru: Look during my schooling I was dreaming for to do some social activity to the society but by that time I am not getting much time to effort more ever there are many reasons for which I couldn’t proceed further. 

OB: Reason (?). 

Rajguru: Reason is time factor which may affect to my study, second is I have not any pocket money . 

OB: Ohh, By the at that time what is your Dad (?). 

Rajguru: dad was in Govt service and Mum simply a housewife. 

 OB: when you got scope and jump over for social work (?). 

Rajguru: During my bachalore period .I started my venture. Serve people accordingly single-handedly round the Clock. But at that time I am with E-TV I didn’t get ample time but I did my work directly or indirectly did live telecast for sufferers even used the social media. Than in year 2010 I posted  to Berhampur.Being a local man I got good support from various Organisation to start with my mission. I visited door to door met the victims, listening their grievance and communicating to the District administration to resolve. I have visited all most all affected areas of Ganjam. I got scope during the year 2013 “Super Cyclone Philine  in Odisha” which gave me enough satisfaction.

OB: When your comfortable period starts (?). 

Rajguru:I have seen many poor people seating in road side in search food which pretentious me. I have taken stand that every day I should search one needy poor man and to provide one full meal to one every day in Hotels. By doing this I got much satisfaction and I continued it for 100 days. 

OB: Ohh so nice…. Than (?). 

Rajguru: By doing such kind of noble job I am leaving a message to people of the city that let one man come forward every day and let him do the same job what I am doing. After my success with this I have started my put my next step lets ‘remove all the wall posters in my city.Intially I started this assignment alone but gradually many people from different age group and gender join hands with my work and we framed our names and style as “Team Clean City”.You will be surprise all have joined and associated voluntarily and  I didn’t invited any to join. Today our team size is more than 100. During poster removing period we got support from Ganjam Collector,Berhampur Municipal Corporation Commissioner and many senior citizens even many Media persons  have joined to remove posters. One more point I would like to add, appreciating our activity Commissioner, Berhampur  Municipal Corporation wrote letters to Cinema hall owners, Educational Institutions not to paste any kind of publicity posters in private or Government walls disobeying this subject to face penalties. We removed all posters within very short span of time limit right from Main roads to streets of Berhampur Mahanagar.

OB: Appreciate.. Bass… 

Rajguru:No no our team now with another lucrative venture. 

OB: What is that (?). 

Rajguru: Now my team members seriously engaged to extend our helping hands to the mentally as well as physically distressed people sleeping on road side hungry man or women ,our team promptly identifying  them and doing Bath,Hair dressing, giving new cloths as well as  Medical treatment till cure. If they discarded by their family members putting them in Old age Homes. 

OB: Till date how many people have  rescued (?). 

Rajguru: Till date we have rescue 51 but unfortunately 2 of them died during the treatment at Govt Hospital. 

OB: Ohh Sad… 

OB: Your team activity only confined with Berhampur City (?). 

Rajguru: No, as on date we have covered Chatrapur,Ganja,Rambha,Hinjili  and Bhanjanagar in Ganjam.In between we have covered the adjacent district Gajapati,Kandhamal and Rayagada did the same work what we did in Ganjam. 

OB: In Gajapati any administrative support (?). 

Rajguru: Yes,Gajapati SP, Ms.Shara Sharma and many Police officials joined with us. 

OB: Above all please tell us any financial assistance (?). 

Rajguru: No assistance. Incase of emergency we are arranging from our members only. 

OB:Any reorganisation (?). 

Rajguru: Yes we have been felicitated by Berhampur Municipal Corporation on their LSG day, Abdul Kalam youth Association, Mahan Sangha and Varosha. 

OB: Okay Dear Rajguru, patiently you have attended all our objective and subjective questions. Please tell us what your next venture (?) . 

Rajguru:The present planning to rescue the injured people on road accident, Support to needy people to give free Education, To stop sound pollution, Supply of Hot water at MKCG Hospital and we shall undertake serious assignment for  those household animals on main  road in Mahaanagar even tag by BeMC authority.That should be taken care in both the way to avoid the life of animals and to avoid road accident. 

OB: Any Message to the Society (?). 

Rajguru: In one line “I request to the people of the City If you can’t do don’t do but do not damage the cleanness of your City.” We the members of Team Clean City appeal to the administration to open more Old age Home.
