War against Mosquitoes; Advocate, Stage Dharna (!).

Berhampur;Spreading of excess Mosquitoes  in city which create panic in Berhampur  Mahanagar at a large, on demand “war against Mosquitoes” Senior advocate, Manoj Patnaik stage Dharna before the residence of Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corportation from 11 PM to Zero night on Friday with prior information officially to the Commissioner.

However, in receipt full assurance and the police intervention Patnaik and his supporters drop the Dharana in receipt of confirmation and commitment from city police.

Today Mr Patnaik met the commissioner Dr Sideheswar Baliram Bondar,IAS at his office chamber and had a wide discussion regarding the issues and its solution, and added it’s a collective work for larger interest of the public under the Municipal Corportation.

Every citizen is well aware that its war against mosquitoes even the negative part as a result of malaria may claim lives and dengue, which is also transmitted via mosquito bites.

Spraying for mosquitoes by hand (instead of using an installed misting system or large truck mount system) can be tedious. This is because the area needed to be treated is usually large and the need for applications frequent. In our experience, if you choose to use a hand pump sprayer, and unless you are a very diligent person, control of mosquitoes is not usually what you expect. This is because the amount of effort required to perform this type of application is considerably more than using a commercial mist blower. This leads to quick uneven applications and even worse, missed applications because of time constraints.

During the interaction with Mr Patnaik,Mr Bondar, Commissioner has given assurance for introduction of new TIFA machine with modern technology.

No doubt the Deputy Commissioner cum Health Control officer already assigned to look sincerely into issue on priority. In fact dumping of construction materials on road side, proper flow of drain water and water log on roads are the main causes. Ensure on war footing drive will work out without any delay.

Regarding construction and repair of road for which we have already floated a tender for Rs.16 Crs and the work will start very soon after finalisation of the bid, he added.
