Wanted Kishore Kumar apprehended

Bhubaneswar:Basing on intelligence input regarding illegal possession of fire arms for the purpose of commission of crime by one hardcore criminal namely Kishore Kumar Moharana @ Munu @ Dhandua S/o. Raj Kishroe Moharana of Khalrda PS,. Cuttack Sadar Dist. Cuttack, who was wanted in a sensitive murder case vide STF PS Case No. 06/2014 and was absconding soon after commission of crime i.e. since 2014 was apprehended by a team of officers of STF today i.e. 10.02.2022 early morning. During search one 09 MM Pistol, 05 rounds of 9 mm live ammunitions along with other incriminating materials were recovered from his possession. In this connection STF PS case No.04 dated 10.02.2021 U/s. 25/27 Arms Act has been registered and investigation is on.
In STF PS Case No. 6/2014, the above noted accused along with his associates committed murder by firing of one Deepak Naik at Chandikhole Bazar. After completion of investigation charge sheet was submitted against all the three accused persons including the above accused declaring him as absconder. After trial of split of case by Hon’ble Court of District & Sessions Judge, Jajpur convicted Buba @ Sesadev Swain. Trial of the above noted accused is still pending. The accused was involved in the following cases:
STF PS case no. 06/2014 17.05.2014 u/s. 302/34 IPC r/w. Sec. 25/27 Arms Act. and Kendrapara PS Case No. 137 dt. 3.8.2015 U/s. 341/ 294/ 323/ 506/ 307/34 IPC r/w. Sec. 25/27 Arms Act.
Similarly since 2020 drive against illegal arms and ammunitions have been conducted, STF has alone seized 68 nos of fire arms and 146 rounds of live ammunitions.
