Paralakhemundi: Government flashing on honour to soil & honor to motherland otherwise called “Maa ku Samman O Matiku Samman”. Those are simply on air voice.On reality,issues streaming more & more. Such is the situation at Anchala village of Karadasing panchayat of Rayagada block of Gajapati district.Since last 12 years,for bridge construction work is yet to be completed.Area people are on firm to contact with line department officials, ministers,local leaders, Collector;but all in vein. So to revive the incomplete work,now led by local Sarpanch steered to boycot coming election.The area connected with Mahendratanaya river. Other side of the area consisted of villages like Burji, Kalamasing, SAnchala, Burusahi, Murusing, Bhuyansahi, Tudumul of Rayagada & Kujasing of Gumma blocks.Likewise 20 villages depend on with more than 5000 populations are residing. For education, health & marketing they use to cross the river,which stun on regular communications.Even dare to face challenges on their lives.Moreso regular drill by students as horror show like Jack & Jill situation to cross river for regular studies. To chase their studies & maternity care women particularly facing huddles.

On rainy days due to overpour water logging;hardly they go to police station, panchayat office,weekly market at Rayagada, for PDS rice for daily food still a jinx rather they have to walk nearly 20 kms on fair weather road.Earlier that bridge to be completed in between 1st August 2011 to 8th February 2013 duration of construction. But half constructed pillars only a showpiece, though almost 12 years covered. Poverty circle villagers now taken strigent steps not to sit silent & vowed to boycott with mass votes on coming elections,if that work not completed soon.Regarding such core issues, SDO of RD Pradip Kumar Padhi said revival of project cost 19 crores proposed;but still 13.43 crores needed for completion of bridge construction.So revival of tender awaited for construction of bridge, he added.
