VISAKHAPATNAM – RAYAGADA RAILWAY SECTION INSPECTED

Rayagada, March 31: Divisional Railway Manager(DRM) Anup Satpathy inspected the Visakhapatnam-Rayagada section of Waltair Division last Friday. He took stock of various amenities and facilities provided at the stations enroute and reviewed ongoing developmental activities in the section. He conducted window trailing inspection in the section. DRM also inspected the Rayagada new station building thoroughly. He interacted with the passengers at Rayagada and inspected various amenities at the station.
During his inspection, he inaugurated the newly constructed Sub-sectioning post at Jemadeipentha. Later at Rayagada he inaugurated newly constructed 500×2 KVA substation & Generator backup at the station premises. He went along for inspection of Foot Over Bridge, lift works, newly laid track works and other facilities.
resentatives from Divyangjan met DRM and submitted a memorandum for resolving grievances like Battery Operated Car, ramp facilities, provision of counter for Divyangjan, issuance of Railway concession cards at Rayagada, etc for which DRM assured to resolve the issues within a short period of time. Further DRM inspected Running Room at Rayagada station, inaugurated extended building of the running room, inspected the dining halls & kitchen. He interacted with the staff at the running room, listened to their grievances, needs and advised the concerned officials for immediate attention. He inaugurated newly constructed Bio Gas plant with which the kitchen of the running room works.
He was accompanied by ADRM(Operations) Shri Manoj Kumar Sahoo, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Shri PK Maharana, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Shri SK Patra, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (General) Shri Ch Kameswara Rao, GM (RVNL) Shri SD Sharma, AGM (RVNL) Shri Sreedhar, AGM (Gatishakthi) Shri Sairaj , Assistant Commercial Manager Shri GD Sarkar and other officers, who took part in this inspection.
