VILLAGERS OF RAIBOGA FREED MANY COWS FROM COW SMUGGLERS DESTINED FOR WEST BENGAL

ROURKELA: Villagers of Raiboga have freed many cows from the capture of 12 cow smugglers on 27th night at 9.30pm. On this night villagers had seen many cows were being taken by numbers of people on road and upon asked by the villagers of the purpose of giving pain to these cows by making them walk on roads and the destination they are going, in reply they said it is meant to reach West Bengal via been Raiboga and Birmitrapur, Jharkhand police limits. It has been a practice and they have been procuring these cows from Khatkurbahal. When the villagers had asked about their identity they threatened that they are not only ones but having a big team and can endanger their lives if they are stopped. Finding villagers rigid on this smuggling, they fled from the spot. All the villagers have captured all the cows and handed over it to the Raiboga police and had given a FIR about the crime and requested the police to take stringent action against the culprits. They found many cows are in poor health conditions because of long journey without food, moreover, iron plates have been nailed under their foot, causing animals in severe pain. This inhuman act on animals is banned under the law of land, hence, due action must be taken is the demand of the villagers.
