VAN MAHOTSAV HELD AT MCL. JAGANNATH AREA

TALCHER:The weakening tree plantation festival was started on 23rdjuly 2020 inaugurated by A.K. Dhal, General Manager, Jagananth Area at the premises of Regional Store, . The event was graced by many dignitaries from different quarters such as Smt. Himani Nayak, Forest Ranger Officer, Talcher, Smt. Rasmita Pradhan, Sarpanch, Dera Grampanchayat , Smt. Saraswati Sahoo, Sarapanch, Padmabatipur Grampanchayat and Smt. Khulana Parida , SarapanchBadajorada,Grampanchayat.

The G.M. ,Jagananth Area , A.K. Dhal welcome all the dignitaries  present on the occasion of  Annual Tree Planting festival (Van Mahostav )  and saplings of different fruit bearing plants were planted. 2 hundred nos of K.Lime and 2 hundred nos of Mango species were planted today and this will continue for a week.

S.C Pradhan , General Secretary (INTUC),  Shankar Prasad Behera, General Secretary (HMS), Sanjay Majhi General Secretary (BMS), Surendra Sharma General Secretary ,(AITUC) and Brahma Naik, President, CISTEA also witnessed the event alongwiththe other dignitaries.

The members of Ananya Mahila Mandal,Jagannath Area under the guidance, President, Mrs Sushmita Dhal,Secy Smt. Ranjita Dashenergetically participated and planted the saplings.

The live telecast of the event and the activities was broadcasted to the Ministry of Coal from the site of plantation i.e Regional Store. Due to pandemic of COVID-19, all social distancing norms were maintained, sanitizers, gloves and masks were distributed at the site as precautionary measures. Moreover, 4 hundred fifty nos. of various plant saplings, 1 thousand 5 hundred nos. of masks and 3 hundred nos. of sanitizers were distributed to the villages of Dera, Padmabatipur and Badajorada.

On this occasion ,Sri Dhal, emphasized and create awareness about the importance of plantation of fruit bearing trees, as trees are the best ways to prevent global warming and reduces pollution .  He further added that MCL will undertake tree plantation at the identified sites in the villages and help them in developing nurseries, which will further encourage and create awareness regarding tree plantation.
