Utkal Alumina Hosts Health Workshop in Kashipur Block
Rayagada : Utkal Alumina, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla Group hosted a comprehensive block-level health workshop was at the Kashipur Block Office on 14th August 2024, focusing on critical health issues including diarrhoea and sickle cell anaemia. The event, which drew significant attention and participation, featured a range of prominent figures and experts in the field.
The workshop was graced by the presence of the Block Development Officer (BDO) as the Chief Guest, along with other distinguished guests including the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) and the Block Programme Manager (BPM) of Kashipur.
The ASHA Manager served as the key resource person, providing valuable insights and guidance throughout the session. In a noteworthy addition, the event also celebrated World Breastfeeding Week, highlighting the importance of breastfeeding for infant health and development.
This celebration was supported by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team and our NGO partner, PVO, who played an instrumental role in organizing and executing the event.
The workshop saw participation from over 80 attendees representing three Gram Panchayats (GPs), reflecting the community’s commitment to enhancing health awareness and practices.
The event was a significant step towards addressing public health challenges and promoting essential health practices in the region.
