Utkal Alumina Honoured with Dual Accolades: NAMC Winner Award and Atmanirbhar Nation Builder Award
Tikiri/Rauagada: Utkal Alumina International Limited, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla Group received two prestigious awards from International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM), showcasing its excellence in manufacturing and commitment to self-reliance and nation-building.
Firstly, Utkal Alumina has been declared all India winning of the esteemed NAMC (National Award for Manufacturing Competitiveness) the Top-Apex Award, with Gold. This recognition marks a significant milestone for Utkal Alumina, as it achieved an unprecedented score of 95.3, the highest ever recorded in the history of the awards. The NAMC Winner Award celebrates organizations that have demonstrated exceptional competitiveness, innovation, and excellence in manufacturing practices, positioning Utkal Alumina at the forefront of manufacturing excellence in India.
In addition to the NAMC Winner Award, Utkal Alumina was also honoured with the Atmanirbhar Nation Builder Award as part of the Atmanirbhar Factory Recognition Program. This award recognizes Utkal Alumina’s outstanding contributions to self-reliance and nation-building, reflecting its commitment to driving sustainable growth and development in India.
The alumina produced by Utkal Alumina is integral to aluminium smelters and is used in the construction of important national structures. With uninterrupted bauxite supplies from its captive mines, dedicated workforce and by adopting industries best practices, Utkal Alumina has set new benchmarks in productivity, water consumption, and energy efficiency, environmental, sustainability, green energy initiatives.
