Paralakhemundi- Brother & sister relationship is a unique one on centuries together.Gone Raakhee Purnima a symbol to build strength among one another.This is a bond to exchange either love & affection.
Still on faded ages there still love mounted among such brother & sister at a remote village of Nuagada block of Gajapati.
They are going to enjoy their happiness & intact their living style as a bond.Remained unmarried with strong determined mind sister never aloof with her brother.Despite poverty stricken they still on their race to live their smooth life in a destroyed cottege.Like alms of @₹500 on old age pension & @5 kgs of rice on PDS,are only resources to fill their appetites.
They never beg anybody rather join their race with silent smiles. Government publishing on varieties of schemes but those seem as lucrative to their standard livings.
Barik Lochan Singh Patra(80) & Biraja Kumari Singh Patra(75) are steadfast on their immense lifestyle where Biraja still serves for her brother,where raakhi that she tied to her brother a reflection.
Staying at Keredango of Nuagada block aloof from development they have no high dream rather managing their day to day habitats. When their parents were alive they arranged marriage of Biraja but she simply denied for the sake of brother.One after another their parents passed away. So brother too has no hesitation to bring any burden to sacrifice for his sister & remained bachelor.On their strength time they were whatever earning could chase their livelihoods but on shadowed years, when both feeling difficulties to go for earnings remained in their cottage without dependence.A marathon living,though a shadow of hardly any resources but they still feel strong to live without shattering any hope.
On destroyed house villagers supported them polythene,which helping them for cooking.Despite appeal to Panchayat Extension Officer of Keredango panchayat nothing fruitful for housing.
While interacted BDO Nuagada on 2017-18 list their names not included.So on new list they will be included for any support. Still they are watchful which he instructed the PEO for their update living status.Both still on awaiting from further support by block time will answer to sort out.
