Two persons including Owner of De-addiction Centre arrested by Nimakhandi Police

Berhampur,(25/11/25): Based on the Complainant by Ms. Saibani Nayak (40yr) w/o-late Hari Nayak of Radhakrushna Harijana Sahi, under Berhampur Town Police Two persons including owner of De-addiction centre arrested by Nimakhandi Police
They have been identified as; Aswini Kumar Patro (29yr of Mandiapalli, Ramchandrapur, Bijay Bihar 3rd line, & Anshuman Choudhury (27yr) of first lane , Chandraprava Street , Berhampur.
Police have successfully seized 2 nos.Lathi (Hard Stick) from their possession.
According to police, on 22.11.2025 evening Nimakhandi police have registered case under section U/S- 103(1)/3(5) BNS. On the strength of the written of Complain from Saibani Nayak and investigated into. During investigation witnesses were examined and scientific team visited the spot.
Police held inquest of the dead body of Milan Nayak (25) in presence of witnesses and his relatives. During the course of investigation, it was ascertained that on the date of occurrence deceased Milan Nayak developed withdrawal symptoms and started to behave very rudely and abnormally.
The owner of the Vikash foundation de addiction Centre namely Aswini Kumar Patro and his associate Anshuman Choudhury tied up the deceased and assaulted him by means of lathi with pressed his neck.
From the facts and circumstances there is prima facie evidence well established U/S- 103(1)/3(5) BNS, against the duo accused.
However, both arrested forwarded on today dated 25.11.2025 to the Hon’ble court. further investigation underway.
