TWO NEW MLAs’ TAKE OATH AT ODISHA ASSEMBLY;FOLLOWING ALL-PARTY MEETING

BHUBANESWAR:The swearing-in of newly-elected MLAs of Tirtol and Balasore Sadar was held at Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) premises today.Speaker,Surjya Narayan Patro administered oath of office to the MLAs.according to sources.
The BJD candidate Bijay Shankar Das, who defeated BJP candidate Rajkishore Behera by 41703 votes in Tirtol seat in Jagatsinghpur district, will take oath along with Balasore Sadar BJD candidate Swarup Das, who defeated BJP’s Manas Kumar Dutta by a margin of 13,351 votes.
After the swearing in of the two legislators, the all-party meeting began to ensure smooth functioning of the House because of the winter session of Odisha legislative Assembly begins from November 20 will have four and half business hours daily and will continue up to December 31 keeping in view of Covid-19 guidelines.
