TWO DROWNED AT HARBHANGI DAM OF GAJAPATI

GAJAPATI,(Mohana):As a traumatic incidents two females lost their lives at Harbhangi dam.As per received information one Ebani Mandal(31) was with her niece Iskanjali Sabar(11),minor girl went for bath at Harbhangi dam.But unfortunately Iskanjali slipped by the stone dashed by speedy stream of dam, no sooner she drowned.

Her aunt Ebani with all emotion tried to save her and she too drowned by streaming spring of the dam.Their family members worried about their missing and reported at Adava Police Station. Immediately Fire Brigade staffs from Mohana were called for rescue of those drowned. After long searching they were traced.Tehsildar Kalyani Sanghamitra Devi and Sarpanch of Paniganda rushed at the spot & registered both the deceased bodies for post mortem & sent to MKCG Medical College Brahmapur.With the received information Iskanjali,the minor girl belongs to Hitikima village of Karchabadi Panchayat of Mohana block.

During Lock Down she was staying at her uncle’s home & could not return her home.Enquiry is going on. Alok Ranjan Jagdala IIC Adava also present at the spot.Tehsildar Mohana assured the bereaved family for aides.
