Two arrested for Preparation of Adulterated Spurious Liquor

Berhampur,21/03/21: During the Police investigation it was learnt that he has procured homeopathic spirit for preparation of adulterated spurious liquor in Berhampur city.
In connection the Badabazar and BN Pur police team have arrested one Dr. K.Gopi of 2nd Line Prem Nagar, Berhampur and Dr. E.Pradeep Kumar Patro of MTR Apartment, City High School Road, Berhampur.
In a release ASP,Berhampur cited, in our round the corner investigation the police team search the Godown of Dr. E. Pradeep Patro located at Khaspa Sahi under Badabazar P.S, total 252 bottles of Homeopathic Spirit of different brands (112 Liters) have been seized.
In this connection Badabazar P.S case no 62/2021 U/s 55 of Odisha Excise Act/ Sec 27 of Drugs and Cosmetics Act has been registered. The accused persons Harish Chandra Sahu (accused in B.N.Pur PS Case no 7/2021) and Dr. E.Pradeep Patro in Badabazar P.S case no 62/2021 both are being forwarded to the court of SDJM Berhampur.
However, the investigation of both the cases is continuing. The complicity of other persons is under verification.
