TTPS Celebrates Power House Day

Talcher:The 54th Power House Day (Foundation Day) of NTPC Talcher Thermal Power Station (TTPS) was celebrated on 07.02.2021. Shri Devendra Nath Tiwari, Group General Manager (TTPS) hoisted the NTPC flag on this occasion. Addressing the gathering, Shri Devendra Nath Tiwari said “TTPS completed 53 years since its commissioning and recently completed its 25 years of operation at NTPC.” In terms of rankings, during April 2020 – January 2021, the station secured 5th position among all NTPC thermal power plants, Shri Tiwari added.

He stated “NTPC Talcher Thermal has generated 2964 MU power with 87.76% PLF during April 2020 – January 2021 period”. The station also received the 4th level NSCI Safety Award Prasansa Patra by National Safety Council, Mumbai and the Kalinga Gold Safety Award by IQEMS Bhubaneswar, Odisha.“NTPC Talcher Thermal in continuation to further stop the spread of coronavirus joins the nationwide immunization campaign and is strongly committed to the reduction and prevention of COVID19”, said Tiwari and recently the first dose of the vaccination was given to the frontline warriors at TTPS.For periphery community development, the power station has been undertaking various CSR initiatives. In this regard, 10 government middle schools were identified for the implementation of Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) activities with the objective to improve qualitative learning in the classrooms. Also, under the policy of CSR, donations of reusable clothes were encouraged for distribution to the needy people.

In his concluding remarks, he thanked all station’s union, association, cultural bodies, CISF and employees for their valuable contribution.
