TRUCK LOAD CONTRABAND GANJA SEIZED BY DIGAPAHANDI POLICE

Berhampur: Truck load of contraband ganja has been seized by Digapahandi police on NH near village Dengausta on Monday at 2am in the night when sub inspector M Takri was performing night patrol duty and intercepted pick up vehicle regd number OD 33 W 0532 being driven by the accused driver Biswa Ranjan Biswal S/O Khetramahan Biswal of Puruna Sasana under Balianta dist Khurda police district.
According to ASP, Berhampur,Mr Prabhat Routray the truck load of contraband ganja having total 59 bags ,each packet contains 30 Kg each.
As per the police enquiry it could be known that the vehicle was proceeding towards puri.
In presence of Executive magistrate the formalities were taken up like search and seizure and Digapahadi PS registered a case vide case No-.28 Dt.3.02.2020 U/s 20(b)(ii)(C)/25 NDPS act and till the case under investigation as told by Mr Routray.
