Trees Torched at Buckingham Palace in Gajapati

Paralakhemundi-Just a replica of Buckingham Palace named to Parala Maharaja’s Palace. Centuries back King dynasty had to take rest after hunter at BN Palace which is at Mahendratanaya river bed.
Suddenly whole paradise lost by those fire flashed trees near Palace. There lied teaks & other valuable trees. Few years back state tourism department had taken for proposed Pantha Nivas but in vein in that statuesque old BN Palace. Later on for few years PG classes of SKCG College was running.
The chaotic situation given scope to steal those stems of costly trees where security foiled.
On such drastic situation last evening flame burst all around surrounding trees covering Teak, Sal and Karanj near that old building. No sooner whole trees turned into ash by flashing flames.
Immediately Fire Officer led by Rajendra Kumar Swain and his team tried to control fire. Fortunately BN Palace building irked no damage, said Swain. Sub Collector, Sangram Sekhar Panda quipped that whoever responsible of gutted fire would be taken action.
