TRAGEDY STRUCK IN ROURKELA STEEL PLANT, FOUR PRECIOUS LIVES LOST

ROURKELA:This morning tragedy struck inside Rourkela Steel Pant when few contract workers fell down after coming in contact with poisonous gas leak from the pipe in Coal Chemicals Department (CCD). When others have come to rescue the some of the fell prey to this poisonous and deadliest gas, took four lives and made other few critically ill. Immediately the senior officers and employees present there shifted all workers to Ispat General Hospital (IGH). This news has spread like wild fire and people started gathering near IGH. Seeing the flow of people near hospital RSP management has gone for a meeting to work out on the solutions. Local administration has deployed maximum police force (OSAP) police personnel to tackle if any unwanted occurrence to happen.

Bodies of workers who have lost lives are kept in morgue and treatment of other co workers is going on in IGH with all seriousness. As per the news sources RSP management have suspended tow DGMs for the negligence and a team is formed to investigate the matter and cause of gas leak in the plant which has irked eyebrows about the safety standards followed by a big PSU like RSP. Anyways, a discontent is there in workers of RSP and different trade unions are now thinking to meet top authorities for the cause. As per the information from other sources RSP may offer a job to family members of the workers who have lost lives.
