TRAFFIC GATE MURDER CASE ACCUSED ARRESTED BY PLANT SITE POLICE STATION

ROURKELA: On 30th September there was severe attack on two youths named Sagar Ray and Prakash Sethy in Plant Site area by some unkown assailants after which both of them were shifted to Rourkela Govt. Hospital by police for treatment where Sagar Ray succumbed to his injury. Initial investigation suggested that few assailants attacked them with lethal weapons and fled away from the spot. After taking the case into its hand Plant site police has intensified their investigation after getting the police complaint from the family members of the victim. During the investigation they found some clue in this case and arrested one garlic trader Prasant Senapati and other four accused that had committed the crime. During the investigation they found Prasant senapati is having a business of garlic trading which is carried out in his godown in Traffic gate. On 29th night three bags of garlic were stolen which he came to know next day morning. He was initially doubted Sagar Ray who has past record of stealing things of this sort. Without any valid proof against him he and his other four associated attacked these two persons with lethal weapons and ran away from the spot after doing unsocial activities. Out of these two victims Sagar Ray passed away on the spot which was declared brought dead by doctors in hospital but Prakash Sethy is still under treatment in VSS Medical College in Burla. This shows law and order condition is alarming in the city.
