TOKYO OLYMPIC FLAME PUBLIC DISPLAY TAKEN OFF DUE TO COVID-19

BHUBANESWAR:The Tokyo Olympic the great athletic event to be organized has been postponed for next year due to COVID-19. This time it was scheduled to be held at Tokyo, Japan. Due to COVID-19 effect globally, the IOC has taken decision to postpone the event and many players also requested for the same. But the flame was remained in display in the northeastern prefecture of Fukushima after it reached Japan from Greece in March 26.  A large number of viewers were gathering to watch this flame on display but due to corona, the PM of Japan, Shino Abe had issued a state emergency and restricting large gatherings, in the perspective, display of the flame has been suspended and the flame was taken to a undisclosed location. The fact of the matter is keeping the flame ablaze, is a symbol to fight corona, thinks few members of IOC. This flame is expected to reappear again in next year just before the kicking off the Olympic Games for torch relay. Cancellation of Olympic Games has saddened many sport lovers across the globe but fighting corona is more important than this gigantic sporting event.
