THUNDERSTORM & RAINFALL EXPECTED IN ODISHA

BHUBANESWAR:The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre here issued thunderstorm and rainfall alert for 10 districts of Odisha.
The alert has been sounded for Bolangir, Nuapada, Bargarh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Malkangiri and Koraput districts.
As per the latest IMD bulletin, “with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and light to moderate rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over these districts between 1.45 PM to 4.45 PM today.
People in these districts are advised to stay indoors and take shelter in buildings and other safe locations as a precautionary measure.
