Three accused held for murderous attack (!)

BERHAMPUR,(20/01/2026):Three accused were arrested on charges of murderous attack in connection to the case Baghalati violence,by Golanthara police, Of Berhampur police district.
The facts of the case,on 18.01.2026 based on the report of Sri Sanatan Gouda (63), S/o Late Amulya @ Subudhi Gouda of village Baghalati regarding murderous attack to his son Kanha Gouda by the accused persons , the case was registered u/s.126(2)/296/115(2)/118(1)/109/303(2) /351(2) /3(5) BNS.and investigated into.
The identified accused persons those arrested.
1. Lilu Gouda(27), s/o-Sudarsan Gouda,
2. Jitu Gouda(30), s/o-Apana Gouda,
3. Srikanta Gouda (26), s/o – Sanujya Gouda, all of village- Baghalati.
Police seized one iron Billhook (Kati), from their possession.
Investigation revealed that, there is ill feeling between two groups at village Baghalati owing to management of Temple. Injured Kanha Gouda belonged to one group whereas the accused persons from another group.
On 18.01.2026 morning, the injured Bhabagrahi Gouda @ Kanha of village Baghalati went to Tulu Road for plumbing work in his motor cycle.
At the same time , on the way near Tulu road, out of previous enmity, accused persons were waiting there armed with iron rod and Kati to attack Kanha Gouda.
When Kanha Gouda reached there, accused persons waylaid him and attacked him using Kati and iron rod with an intention to kill him. Kanha Gouda sustained injuries on his head and was shifted to MKCG, Mersons waylaid him and attacked him using Kati and iron rod with an intention to kill him.
Kanha Gouda sustained injuries on his head and was shifted to MKCG, MCH, Berhampur for treatment.
Following investigation the above noted accused persons have been arrested Tuesday i.e 20-01-2026 and forwarded to court. One iron Billhook (Kati) was seized from the possession of the accused persons. The investigation of the case is in underway.
