THE YOUNGEST GIRL Ms.SIMI KARAN BECOMES IAS FROM ODISHA

BHUBANESWAR: Simi Karan from Odisha brought laurels for the state and herself after the 22-year-old became the youngest rank holder from Odisha in the all-India Civil Services Exam-2019 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
In her first attempt, she scored 31st rank in the Civil Services exam.
Simi reportedly hails from Santoshpur village in Balasore district. She was a student of IIT Mumbai and is currently staying in Bhilai (Chhattisgarh).
Her father works as the Finance Manager at Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh while her mother is a teacher.
Reportedly, over 20 candidates from Odisha are in the list of aspirants recommended for appointment to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group.
