The old Vijayanagaram district consists of Parbatipuram district and Palakonda district of Srikakulam district. Kotia has formed the village of Andhra Pradesh into three panchayats. Andhra Pradesh is continuing its efforts to merge the 27 villages of Kotia and 12 Pada villages, while the formation of the district will be like ghee in the fire. It is planned to make Parbatipuram the district headquarters after the formation of the Manyam district. However, Andhra Pradesh is also behind the formation of the district.
