The Deomali Folk Art Festival will be held in Koraput;Ranjan Das

 Koraput:Ranjan Kumar Das, director of the Oriya Language, Literature and Culture Department at the local CDMO Conference Hall, visited the Koraput district to review various activities of the department.  The Chief Minister advised the artists to select the amount of assistance to be provided through auditions.  Madhav Pangi, the district culture officer, advised the public on the strengthening of folk art and artists, the use of cultural programs at the Sanskriti Bhavan, the completion of the district arts and culture association’s office, and the completion of the Bhagwat Tungi.  He said he would discuss with the district commissioner the development of the district’s arts and artists.  Basudeb Malbishoi, state project coordinator of the department, Abani Kumar Mishra, vice-president of the state folk art association, along with the director, discussed various programs.  He visited Khajuriput, a folk art festival in Koraput last night, and later visited Bhagwat Tungi in Mastiput village under the Koraput block.  There are plans to form a folk art festival, our folk art and our culture program and a folk art self-help association for artists from the district.  Mr Das said the two-day Deomali Folk Art Festival would be held in collaboration with the administration in the coming days.  Extensive preparations have been made by the state government and the district administration to turn the house into a memorial hut.
