Terrorized with Gun Point Demand for 50K;Police halt the Youth

Berhampur: On 06/07.09.2021 night at about 00.15 AM Rakesh Sethi @ Jam Sethi of Laxmi Vihar along with the noted accused Sudhansu Behera (20) S/o Rajib Behera of 7th Line, Laxminursingha Sahi, and others accused persons trespassed to the house of Renu Sethi and terrorized her demanding Rs. 50 thousand at the Gun Point and Swords.
Soon police informed by Smt.Renu Sethi (24) of Jagabandhu Sahi,Bada Bazar Berhampur.immediately the Police team headed by IIC,Prashant Bhupati rush to the spot and started ground zero investigation.
According to ASP, Prabhat Routray, said, during the occurrence, one of the accused assaulted Kusa Sethi by means of sword with intention to kill resulting in bleeding injuries. Kusa Sethi and his brothers are running a Chicken Center at Haridakhandi Chhaka.
Notably, some days back Rakesh Sethi @ Jam has demanded an amount of Rs. 50 thousand as Dada Bati from Kusa and as the demand was not fulfilled, he along with his gang members have committed this criminal act. Investigation of the case is in progress.
