Telugu language issue in booking form and concession on railway fares for senior citizens: DRUCC member Shaik Ibrahim writes to Railway Minister

Sunabeda: Date: 01/09/22: Sheikh Ibrahim, member of East Coast Railway Divisional Rail Users Advisory Committee, wrote a letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnab, stated that railway ticket reservation forms available in Koraput railway station are printed in English/ Hindi and Telugu language, which hurts the sentiments of the people of Odisha. Hence, he requested the Minister to look in to the  matter and instruct the concern Railways Division to supply the forms printed in English/ Hindi and Odia language as soon as possible. Besides, a memorandum has been sent to the Railway Minister containing five-point demands for the development of railway services in the undivided Koraput district including restoration of concession in railway fare for senior citizens as soon as possible. While Mr Ibrahim  sent the copy of the memorandum  to Koraput MP Saptagiri Ulaka, Jaipur MLA Tara Prasad Bahinapati, General Manager of East Coast Railways and Divisional Railway Manager, Visakhapatnam, he met Koraput MLA and District Planning Board Chairman Raghuram Padal at Sunabeda and handed over the copy of the said memorandum to him and appraised him about the problem
