Teachers’ Felicitation Ceremony at ODM Public School

Bhubaneswar : In a vibrant celebration of the esteemed Guru-Shishya tradition,
ODM Public School, Patia, marked the birth anniversary of former President, philosopher, and
pioneering educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan with great enthusiasm. The day, celebrated as
Teacher’s Day across India, was observed on Thursday with a series of events that highlighted the
significance of value-based education.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the President of the School Management Committee, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Das, and Dr. Jyotsna Mohapatra, under the distinguished guidance of Dr. Satyabrata
Minaketan, the Founder of ODM Educational Group. The program commenced with a heartfelt tribute
to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, as Dr. Minaketan, School Director Ms. Indumati Ray, COO Swoyan
Satyendu, and the teaching staff garlanded his portrait. This was followed by a traditional Gurupuja and Gurubandana ceremony, reflecting the time-honored values of the Gurukul system.
Students of ODM Public School enthusiastically participated in the event, showcasing a variety of
performances that included music, speeches, poetry recitals, and drama. Each performance underscored the importance of a value-centric education system, echoing the essence of the Guru-Shishya tradition that has been a cornerstone of Indian culture.

The ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries including the Director of Education, Dr. Artatrana Mishra, Vice-Principal Dr. Sandhyarani Swain, Vice-Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Padhi, along with the entire teaching staff and the student body.
