Talcher Mines Dep Dir With Rs 1.3 Cr Worth Flat, Market Complexes, Duplex Arrested by Vigilance
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials on Tuesday arrested Dharanidhar Nayak, Deputy Director of Mines (DDM) at Talcher in Odisha’s Angul district for amassing disproportionate assets worth crores.
The simultaneous vigilance raids at properties linked to Nayak revealed a staggering array of disproportionate assets including two multi-storeyed buildings, one 3-BHK flat worth approximately Rs.1.30 crore and one duplex of area 1800 sqft in Bhubaneswar, two market complexes with 19 shops, 11 plots, deposits Rs. 53.53 Lakhs, household articles worth Rs.54.70 lakhs and cash over Rs.9.85 lakh.
As he could not provide a satisfactory explanation for these assets, he was arrested. The Cuttack Vigilance has registered a case against Nayak.
