SVKM’s NMIMS Indore Empowers Researchers with National FDP on Grant Writing, IPR, and Publication Strategies

Record-Breaking Participation: SVKM NMIMS Indore’s 6-Day National FDP Draws Over 400 Enthusiastic Registrations

Indore, August 2023 – SVKM’s NMIMS School of Technology Management & Engineering (STME), Indore, in association with SVKM’s Central Training, successfully organised a transformative 6-day Faculty Development (FDP) program titled “Enhancing Research Impact: National FDP on Grant Writing, IPR, and Publication Strategies”. The event witnessed an overwhelming response with more than 400 registrations from faculty members and research scholars from educational institutions across India, including 90 registrations from within NMIMS.

The event saw the convergence of distinguished speakers and experts from renowned National Universities and National Research Centers, who shared their rich experiences and keen perceptions on various aspects of research. Some eminent names that joined the program were Prof. Anurag Srivastava, Professor and Dean of Alumni and External Relations, Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior; Dr. Ravindra Mukhiya, Principal Scientist, Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani; Dr. Rishi Sharma, Principal Scientist, Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani; Dr. Pankaj Mishra, Professor and University Ph.D. Coordinator, Amity University, Gwalior; Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, Professor and Head, Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior; and Mrs. Vibha Tiwari, Life Coach and Yoga Consultant, Indore. Their expertise covered a spectrum of subjects, providing participants with a holistic understanding of grant acquisition, IPR considerations, and publication strategies.

The FDP’s comprehensive curriculum aimed to provide attendees with a well-rounded understanding of critical aspects related to research. They delved into research funding, intellectual property, and effective research publication topics such as Funding Source Exploration and Opportunities, Open Access and Copyright Considerations, Emerging Trends, and Optimal Practice, providing insights into emerging trends within the research landscape, coupled with best practices that contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of research endeavours. Topics like Research Papers and Book Publication Strategies Pragmatic Approaches to Stress Management, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) navigation were also discussed. The program’s mission-oriented approach encouraged the participants to proactively address research-related challenges and contribute meaningfully to the academic and professional arenas.

The FDP was organised in hybrid mode, offering both in-person and virtual participation options, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for attendees. The event was well-received by researchers, academicians, and professionals from research organisations and industries who were present.

Faculty Coordinators, Dr. Divya Gautam, Dr. Nidhi Asthana, and Mr. Gaurav Paliwal played a major role in ensuring that the event took place smoothly. The success of the National FDP is a reflection of NMIMS Indore’s dedication to advancing knowledge and promoting innovation.
